Looking at computer screen too long? This is what happened you should know!

Have you ever spent more than two continues hours looking at a computer screen? Yes, many of us does that.

Computers served to make us more productive, however the bad news of too much looking on screen time can also cause problem known as computer vision syndrome (CVS).
This problem is recognizable as tired and strained feeling your eyes get, after stay a day in front of a computer screen, CVS affects to most office workers from 64 percentages to 90 percentages.
The condition likely does not cause permanent eye damage, but it can still affect computer users’ comfort.
The most usual sign of CVS include eye strain, redness, irritation or dryness, a burning feeling in the eyes, blurred or double vision after computer use, headaches and neck and shoulder pain.
There are few causes believed proving causes of pain in your eyes, follow these guidelines to help ease the symptoms.

1. Have your eyes checked regularly
If you need a new or changed treatment but have not do regular check, using a computer during eye pain can be suffering.

2. Reposition your computer screen
Position of screen should be about an arm’s length away and placed directly in front of your face, not off to the side.
Position the monitor so its center is 4 to 8 inch below your eyes, which allows the neck to relax while you read and type.

3. Follow guidelines for good posture.
Follow the guidelines of proper posture which helps a lot to reduce strain on the back, neck and shoulders overtime.

4. Ensure proper lighting.
Perform the visor test to determine if current lighting is a problem by looking at the monitor and cup your hands over your eyes like wearing baseball cap.
If your eyes immediately feel better, then the lighting should be reposition or include shades for the lighting.
Experiment with brighter and dimmer lighting, as well as the angle of the lights, to find out what is most comfortable for your eyes.

5. Reduce glare
By installing anti-glare filters on your monitor, even by adjusting window shades and changing the screen’s contrast and brightness can help reduce glare and reflections from external sunlight.

6. Blink frequently
By blinking your eye frequently should prevent dry eyes. If that does not work, consider applying lubricating eye drops.

9. Try computer glasses
Computer glasses are different than everyday eye wear, since they designed purposely for looking at computer screens.
Adding light tint to your glasses can reduce glare caused by harsh overhead lighting and to enhance contrast.
Tinted lenses also are recommended to block short-wavelength, blue light emitted from computer screens that is associated with glare and eye strain.

10. Consider optometric vision therapy
Some computer users have issues with eye focusing or coordination that aren’t corrected by glasses or contacts.
Vision therapy consists of doctor prescribed activities designed to improve visual functioning such as a workout for the eyes.
